Thinking of a short break to Italy? Why not try the beautiful city of Bergamo, with its own airport it is easy to get a flight from several UK airports.

Bergamo is an Italian city northeast of Milan, in the Lombardy region, and dates from 49 BC.

Its older upper district, called Città Alta, is characterized by cobblestone streets, encircled by Venetian walls and accessible by funicular. It's home to the Duomo di Bergamo, the city cathedral. Also here are the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the grand Cappella Colleoni, a chapel with 18th-century frescoes by Tiepolo.

The lower part of the City called Bassa still has great architecture but is more modern and has the  shopping district.

Milan is just a 50 minutes drive by car or you can take a train or a bus. Packed with Fashion History and Art as well as great restaurants and Shopping.

If you fancy a trip to the lakes the nearest is just 31kilometres which is the picturesque Lake Iseo it's the Gem of Northern Italy . Lake Como is only 47 kilometres away followed by Lake Como at 79 kilometres all of them are easy to get to by Train Bus or Car and are great for Day visits or even an overnight stay.

If you were to  win a million pounds  what would be your Dream Destination be and why?            That may not be as simple a question as it sounds. I have travelled many places around the World, and there are many other places that I would love to visit. Japan, China, and South America to name but a few. When it comes to relaxing in beautiful surroundings in a slower pace of Life two of my favourites are Borocay Beach in the Philippines with pure white sand astounding sunsets this is a place to be.Another favourite of mine is Hamilton Islands in the Whitsunday chain of Islands Queensland Australia,just chill out by the pool or the beach Sail or Catamaran to the neighbouring Islands, visit Whitehaven Beach with the purest whitest sands you could ever imagine.  So the question is what is your favourite places, and where would you love to visit ?

We are being asked about Local Coach Day Trips. Are they value for money? Well if you consider a Day Trip to York from Failsworth, Manchester a distance of 70.9 miles which is roughly about an Hour and a half by car each way.  So that is over 140 miles round trip , which is on average about 3 Gallons of fuel at todays price £16-50. Then you have to find somewhere to Park which will probably be another £8.      Nowadays a lot of Families as well as the Elderly  are prefering to go by coach as they are finding it a more stress free way to travel.
